Rylan is my 8 year old red heeler mix. He has always been territorial, attacking other dogs and resource guarding me. After biting my husband and daughter, I sought out professional help. My vet gave me a brochure from Lorenzo’s. Both the vet and tech gave me their personal recommendations. Probably the hardest part was making that first call to Lorenzo’s and asking for help.
They set me up with Lindsey and we put together a plan and a schedule. She helped me work with Rylan and establish my position as a leader and not a resource he has to protect. No treats involved! He loves working with me, and it always makes me smile that he comes running when he hears me pick up either the pinch collar or e collar.

Prior to the training Buddy was very territorial, aggressive, and high anxiety. He would jump on my little nieces, bark at anyone at the front door (cats, poolman, mailman), fight with our other dog Mel (a fight that I was scared to separate, uncontrollably bark and rush my visitors/family. We were at the point of placing him in our room or outside just so we could have a peaceful visit with anyone. He even bit my ankle and left scars which was meant for Mel but he got me. Sadly we had discussions that we didn’t want to have. Do we keep him? Do we re-home him? If we re-home him are we putting other families in danger? Do we take him to our vet and medicate him. Is this the end of the line for Buddy? So many questions and guilt.
When we met Lindsey, she was and still is our saviour and was able to keep our family together. Little did I know that we were a huge part of leading Buddy and guiding him to a much better quality of life. We are still working with Buddy and he is improving everyday. Granted, Lindsey, had the hard part of breaking Buddy’s bad habits but she has not only guided and taught Buddy, she has taught us too. I’m in absolute aww!
Family has already made compliments on how Buddy has improved which says so much. His progress shows. I don’t feel scared to take him to the park anymore.
Our weekly group meetings at the park with other dogs and owners is amazing. I see Buddy continuing to improve and see him become more trusting every time.
I could go on and on about how Lindsey/Lorenzo’s dog training has helped us, but I will spare you all. I must say I am so appreciative, amazed, and so grateful for everything. The tools, training, education have and are still so beneficial.
Thank you Lindsey, you are forever in our 💕 hearts

I couldn’t be happier with the results of Zylo’s training. He listens and looks for confirmation before reacting to certain situations. He no longer pulls while walking on a leash and actually sits when we come to a stop. He is less reactive in public places but there is still work to be done. Not only did Lindsey train Zylo but she also trained me to pay more attention to his body language so I am able to see how he is feeling and to redirect his attention if he is going to react negatively setting him up for success and not failure. The bond we formed is a lot healthier and for that I am very thankful.

Hello…my name is Sam Nash and I am a blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier. My parents adopted me from the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) in June 2020 when I was about six years old. AHS had rescued me from Maricopa Animal Care and Control (County) in March 2020 through their “Second Chance” program that provides second chances to animals surrendered to County and other animal control facilities. I was diagnosed with Valley Fever and Tick Fever…I was one sick puppy. I was fostered for three months prior to being adopted by my parents.
My first eight months with my parents and my sister, Daisy Cupcake (also adopted from AHS) were normal as I regained my health. I had no issues interacting with Daisy Cupcake or other dogs we encountered on our daily walks.
And then in January 2021, almost overnight, I became a different dog as I recovered from the Valley Fever. My reactive trait exploded, and I attacked my sister, Daisy Cupcake, once when she barked and a second time when I thought she was taking my food. I also attacked the same small neighborhood dog twice (what are the chances) that required visits to the vet, the payment of vet bills and the offering of many sincere apologies. My parents realized they had a problem dog named Sam Nash and their problem dog needed help immediately. Thankfully my parents refused to give up on me.
I was one lucky dog, when Lindsey and Lorenzo’s Dog Training were recommended. We met with Lindsey in October 2021 for my evaluation. My parents were immediately reassured with the command and rapport she had with me. They also realized that she was invested in me and my progress. Every week – rain, shine, heat, 6:00am and/or 5:00pm walks, Lindsey was with us every “paw” of the way. Training me was not for the faint at heart.
We joined the group sessions at the park in the Spring of 2022, but we had to leave because I was reactive and disruptive to the other dogs. After some “resets” and additional training with Lindsey – I am happy to report we were able to participate in the full 1.5 hours of the group class with no issues starting in the Fall of 2022. My parents used to avoid walks and/or areas where there would be other dogs, but now my parents tell me what a good dog I am. At the last day of Lindsey’s group class in May 2023 I received the “Most Improved” Award. Thanks to Lindsey I mastered the major commands, I can be around other dogs, I can encounter other dogs on our walks without reacting, and my parents’ anxiety levels have returned to normal. We continue to work on the elements and commands of Lindsey’s training.
Lindsey is dedicated to the training of dogs from all walks of life and with a variety of issues and challenges. We are fortunate to have had Lindsey train me and my parents. And we thank Lindsey for her dedication and commitment to ensuring I could be a part of society with my parents by my side. Lindsey gave me a “Third Chance”…Thank you Lindsey.
